Effective: July 17, 2026
Gilt collects no data. We have no servers, no analytics, no ads, no user accounts. Your financial data never reaches us.
Everything you enter in Gilt — accounts, transactions, budgets, categories — is stored on your device and, if iCloud is enabled, synced through your personal iCloud (CloudKit private database) under your Apple Account. Apple's handling of iCloud data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. The developer has no access to this data.
Nothing. Gilt contains no analytics SDKs, no advertising SDKs, and no tracking. We cannot see your data, your identity, or your usage.
Export for AI: if you choose to export your data to share with an AI assistant (such as Claude or ChatGPT), that file is created on your device and shared only by your explicit action, to the assistant you choose. That assistant's privacy policy applies to what you share with it. Merchant names and notes are excluded from exports by default.
Currency rates: if live exchange rates are enabled, the app fetches public exchange-rate data. This request contains no personal or financial information.
If you share your household with a family member, sharing happens through iCloud's own sharing mechanism between your Apple Accounts. We are not involved and cannot see shared data.
Apple may provide Gilt with aggregated, anonymized statistics (downloads, crashes) via App Store Connect. These contain no personal financial data.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address. Questions: support@gilt.money
