What’s new in Gilt.
Every release, in plain words. Gilt updates automatically from the App Store; each version keeps your data exactly where it was — on your iPhone and in your own iCloud.
1.6 — September 2026 · built for iOS 27
- Ask Siri what you spent. “How much did I spend on groceries this month in Gilt?” gets one spoken answer — this month, last month or this week, in total or per category. Nothing is spoken while App Lock is on.
- Receipts read on your iPhone. With Apple Intelligence, a scanned receipt fills in the merchant, total, date and category by itself. The model runs on the device, the receipt never leaves it, and every receipt still lands in review first. Turn it off any time under Settings → Automation.
- Rules reorder by drag. On iOS 27, drag transaction rules into the order you want without entering Edit mode.
- Account balances refresh right after a transaction edit on iOS 27.
1.5 — September 2026
- Receipts. Scan a receipt with the document scanner or pick one from Photos; text is recognised on the device and the pages are kept with the transaction.
- Apple Pay capture. A Shortcuts automation hands each Apple Pay purchase to Gilt as a pending record. Nothing is posted until you review it, and every capture can be linked to a purchase you already recorded.
- One Reports page. Spending, cash flow and largest expenses share a single period picker — this or last month, 3, 6 or 12 months, year-to-date, all history or custom dates. Net worth history opens from Overview.
- Archived duplicate categories are hidden from Settings, and unused ones can be deleted.
1.4 — August 2026
- Free to start. Every feature is unlocked from first launch, no account, no card. After 10 transactions across 5 different days, recording needs Gilt Pro; browsing, reports and export stay free forever.
- Reports rebuilt on Apple’s charts: spending ring, cash-flow bars and net-worth line that read correctly at every text size.
- Overview is a dashboard; pinned accounts moved to Accounts. Solid surfaces, one meaning per colour, type that scales.
Older versions (1.0 – 1.3, July and August 2026) laid the groundwork: accounts, budgets, goals, multi-currency, CSV and AI import, family sharing through iCloud, and the 17-language interface.
